Co-Founder, Community Engagement Executive Director
Dylan is a free-spirit; born in Oakland, California, and grew up in Seattle, Washington. He has explored an array of different professions taking on a variety of roles in restaurants, on farms, and in social services. When he met Brittiny in the Spring of 2016 they were working at an emergency shelter for young adults. It was there that their long term dreams collided and the two began making plans to move to Eugene and develop a program of their own.
How/why did you get involved with CORE? Working in the food and service industry, food waste, food insecurity, and food inequity have always been big topics on my mind but when I met Brittiny, everything changed. These thoughts turned to dreams and together we are turning these dreams into reality.
What inspires you? People who live their life with no barriers, my fierce partner Brittiny, and the young woman we are raising together. I also am continually inspired by the young people we serve and their perseverance in this world. Charles Bradley, Rupi Kaur, and my loving Parents.
What is your spirit animal? Imagine Bambi, with ice skates, and grace.
What are your long term goals? To expand CORE programing, continue my education, and enjoy my life and the time I get to spend with my family as much as possible.
